About the Committee

The Letten Prize Committee consists of younger researchers who are recognised experts within their fields. The committee consists of up to seven members, representing at least three continents. The Committee is gender balanced and cross-disciplinary.

The Committee’s main task is to recommend a winner and runner ups for the Prize. The Board of the Letten Prize designates a winner based on the recommendation of the Letten Prize Committee.

The members of the committee are approved by The Letten Prize Board, based on a recommendation from The Young Academy of Norway. The Young Academy of Norway, in turn, base their recommendation on suggestions gathered from Young Academies around the world, with help from The Global Young Academy.
